Breedj is an AI-powered talent platform and employer of record built around one corridor: companies anywhere hiring remote professionals who live in Africa. It was founded in 2024 by John Benatouil (co-founder and CEO) and Nicolas Goldstein, and is headquartered in Quatre Bornes, Mauritius.

Its employer of record service covers all 54 countries on the African continent. Breedj becomes the legal employer, issuing local employment contracts, running payroll in local currency, and handling taxes and mandatory social contributions, so the client does not need a local entity or branch. What separates Breedj from a pure EOR is that employment is only one stage of the platform. The same account also covers sourcing from its talent community, international recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), contractor engagement, global mobility and relocation, and Breedj Academy for upskilling. Its talent pool is concentrated in software development, data and technology, accounting and finance, customer support, digital marketing and outsourced administrative roles.

Pricing is published rather than quote-only: from EUR 290 per month per talent for companies, with the platform free for talent. Breedj positions the model as impact-driven, framing African remote employment against four UN Sustainable Development Goals, and states it was named by the Financial Times among Africa's fastest-growing companies in 2026.
